WORSHIP- We seek intimacy with God!
Worship is as vital to Christian growth as air is to one’s life. This is when God’s people join together to celebrate the risen Lord! A quiet time is the place where a vibrant prayer life which is based on God’s infallible Word, is developed. Whether personal or corporate, the goal of worship is to exist in a passionate relationship abiding fellowship with the Lord.
“Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” Psalms 95:6
RELATIONSHIP- We passionately share the gospel!
Churches and programs do not reach people. People reach people! That is why effective evangelism includes the following traits: First, evangelism is to be personal. That means that every believer has the duty to share their faith with others. Second, evangelism is intentional. Being intentional includes passion and focus on winning people to Christ! Third, evangelism is relational. We are to share the claims of Christ along the lines of relationships. It is a, “as you go” mentality. Our church is committed to passionately sharing the gospel.
“…love your neighbor as yourself…” Mark 12:31
DISCIPLESHIP- We equip one another to practice the faith!
Each believer is challenged to allow the Spirit to cultivate an even deeper walk with the Lord. The steps of this process includes, learning to apply spiritual discipline as well as digesting church biblical doctrine. We encourage each member to read their Bible and to be familiar with the “Baptist Faith & Message” because, ultimately, we practice what we believe. Our behavior is impacted by our beliefs. It is our vision to be a church with an emphasis on building up families that equips couples to build godly marriages and raise their children according to biblical principles.
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15
FELLOWSHIP- We strengthen one another through caring relationships!
Everybody is somebody in Christ’s Body. The Small Groups, (Sunday School) is our primary place for every member to discover strength, concern, support, and personal care. It is not uncommon for believers who study God’s Word together on a regular basis to become immediate and life-long friends, which can come from biblical relationships and friendships outside the church walls.
“…love your neighbor as yourself…”- Mark 12:31
“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17
“…love one another deeply, from the heart…” 1 Peter 1:22
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:2-3
MINISTRY- We encourage every member to join us in ministering through their spiritual gifts and financial resources.
God has designed each believer with Spiritual Gifts, passion and enthusiasm, and relational styles. Members benefit the Body of Christ when they are ministering. Church membership should equal ministry. God uses the “TOTAL” church to grow Christians in faith and service.
“The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body, so it is with Christ.” 1 Corinthians 12:12
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7
“Therefore I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing unto God- this is your spiritual act of worship.” Romans 12:1
PRAYER- We believe that prayer is an essential part in strengthening our walk with God.
We firmly believe that God hears and answers prayers. We will be a praying church. We will strive to make prayer a regular part of our daily lives. We will pray as Jesus taught us to pray by offering prayers of thanksgiving for God’s blessings and asking for forgiveness of sins. We will pray for ourselves and others, always seeking God’s will.
“…Lord teach us to pray…” Luke 11:1
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell your great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3
